Rosalia - Cancel Culture.
BRIEF
The brief centered on forging a strong link between a creative proposition and its corresponding creative direction. Our task was to conceptualize a clear creative direction for a Rosalia album cover campaign based on the theme of "Cancel Culture". By exploring innovative ideas, we aimed to deliver a professional, engaging and original campaign that would resonate with the artist's target audience.
IDEA
Our team explored the impact of cancel culture on individuals and their sense of power. Drawing on the metaphor of being "burned to the ground," we developed a creative direction that showcased Rosalia at her most confident and powerful. Using her trademark motorcycle helmet as a symbol of her identity, we placed her in a burnt-out landscape amidst the ashes of those who had been cancelled. The album cover conveys the message that Rosalia has overcome the negativity of cancel culture, emerging stronger and more resilient than ever before. The dark, moody background, complemented by a striking red and grey gradient, creates a powerful visual contrast. We also incorporated graffiti-inspired typography to reflect Rosalia's personality and attitude. Overall, our creative direction delivers a bold and engaging visual narrative that captures the essence of the artist and resonates with her audience.
